Welcome to the official webpage of director and actor Anne Meighan.
Anne Meighan's stage debut came in the early 1980s, playing one of the "other reindeer"
in the Christmas Pageant at Christopher House Day Care. Keeping in mind the fact that there
are no small parts, only small actors, Anne began slowly but surely finding more stage
experience...the kind with speaking, human roles.
With over 20 years of acting experience, Anne has become known for infusing unique roles with her own singular style. Exceptional roles include Vladimir in Waiting for Godot, Amelia in A Brief Message from Amelia Earhart, and the title role in Medusa/Medea. She also appears in various independent films, including a principal role in The Broken-Hearted. Some little-known 'Anne' triva: in 2004, Anne was immortalized by visual artist Heather Franklin in her exhibit Face of Cambridge, which featured one hundred portraits of local notables, including - yes, you guessed it - Anne! Anne is Artistic Director of NovaStage, a theatre company founded in 2005. She has been building her directing experience up during recent years - directing numerous one and two-act projects including NovaStage's stunning Harris Superman. Anne was honoured to win the Bernice Adams award for distinction in the field of Performing Arts in May 2007. Anne is also a proficient conceptual and graphic artist who designs on contract exclusively for artists and performance events. She's an avid reader who loves working with actors, dance, music and media. Anne currently resides in Toronto. Thanks for visiting and take a look around.
